We had no institution of legal learning in Balochistan unit 1970. However, being synchronized, on one hand, with the emergence of Balochistan as a province, and the establishment of University of Balochistan, on the other University Law College Quetta, came into being in 1971, as a result of the sincere efforts of real patriots of the soil like Mr. Justice Muhammad Ahmed Mirza, Barister Yahya Bakhtiar, Mr. Justice (Retired) Dorab Petal, Mr. Justice (Retired) Mir Khuda Bakhsh Marri, Prof. Mir Muhammad Khan Raisani and others.  

When the college came into being, it started its academic activities in the premises of the civil court of Quetta. It was subsequently moved to the building of government science college Quetta, in the leadership of Prof. Mir Muhammad Raisani, the Principal of the College (1976-1990), the present College building was constructed on a spacious plot of land, acquired from defense Department through the Quetta Cantonment Authorities, at a considerable cost.

Finally, we had a law College in our province, which since then, has made legal learning easy and affordable for the citizens of Balochistan. The first batch of law graduates were passed out in 1972 and the process has continued uninterrupted up-to this date. More than four thousand (4000) men and women have received their LL.B Degree from this  continue...
